The way Draymond Green, a top player for the Golden State Warriors, addressed his most recent expulsion was deemed a “joke” by ESPN commentator Seth Greenberg.

After protesting about being called for a foul during the opening quarter of Wednesday’s game against the Orlando Magic, Green was assessed a technical foul. The forward had more comments for the officials despite the technical foul.

After only a few minutes of play, he received a second technical and was removed from the game. Since receiving a protracted ban for slapping Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic in December, it was Green’s first time being sent off.

Green accepted responsibility for the dismissal and stated that he deserved to be expelled on his podcast, The Draymond Green Show.

It has been difficult to cover Green because of his many indiscretions involving punching and choking of opponents, suspensions, and ejections from games.

He argued with the official early in a game against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday, which resulted in his fourth game-ending infraction of the season.

Since then, he has expressed regret and accepted full responsibility for his deeds.

Greenberg apologized sincerely, but he was frustrated not just with Green but also with the Warriors organization as a whole for allowing the forward to continue this long run of inappropriate behavior.

“What’d I think of it? [It] was a joke, to be honest with you,” Greenberg said on Friday’s episode of Get Up. “I mean, look, he can say all he wants about he understands what he has to do. The problem is he’s like the boy who cried wolf. To me, I don’t only blame Draymond. I blame the organization. You can’t continue to say, ‘Alright,’ and put him right back in the game.

“You talk about the dynasty of the Golden State Warriors. It’s over! It’s done! The culture creators in that locker room have to take ownership in what’s going on… Don’t play the dude! He’s absolutely killing your culture, your identity, and basically everything that you’ve built. Eventually, no means no!”
